The Battleline Battleship is the standard primary space warship of the Varauta forces. The Battleline Battleship features heavy weapons and armor for intense ship-to-ship combat as well as docking facilities for numerous variable fighters. The forward half of the Battleline Battleship is constructed of many slot-based sections (both dorsal and ventral) that can extend and retract. The dorsal slot sections are equipped with catapults, each capable of launching four stowed variable fighters on it's upper deck. The ventral slot sections feature anti-ship missile launchers. Production costs of the Battleline class are kept low via mass production and operational performance is equivalent to that of the average UNG warship of the period. The Varauta lack dedicated aerospace craft carriers and thus the Battleline class is built with the capability to operate a maximum of around 40 Variable Fighters. When 2-3 of these battleships operate together they can achieve an aerospace craft deployment capability that is proportionate to a regular carrier. Varauta spaceships are characterized by hull designs that use "planks" of Energy Conversion Armor (ECA). Gigile's personal battleship features double the normal amount of ECA (Macross Chronicle 2E M7 Mechanic Sheet 04B "Varauta Fleet").
