Emerald Force, consisting of VF-19 Excalibur variable fighters, participated in the extremely dangerous Operation Stargazer in February 2046. In anticipation of heavy combat against a much larger enemy force, the VF-19S Excalibur variable fighters of Emerald Force were equipped with Space/Atmospheric Super Parts. These units provided the VF-19S Valkyries with increased additional thrust and a large complement of missile ordnance. Designed to be more aerodynamic, the Boosters could be used within the atmosphere of a planet as well as within the vacuum of space.
