Description and History

As humanity continues to travel further out into the galaxy, the traffic and communication network continues to grow. Much like earlier space liners, this Passenger Liner operating in the late 2050's provides interstellar transport for travellers journeying between the many emigrant fleets of the New United Nations Government. The ship has the capability to fold space on its own for interstellar transport (Macross Chronicle 2E Worldguide 11 Mankind Seeding Project; Related Matter: the Traffic and Communication Network of the Galaxy). Popular music idol Sheryl Nome traveled aboard Galaxy Passenger Liner GFS 108 for her journey from the Macross Galaxy Fleet to the Macross Frontier Fleet on February 26, 2059.

NOTE: The side of the outboard engine nacelles on the Galaxy Passenger Liner feature an emblem with the acronym "O.G.L.". As yet no official trivia explains the acronym, but one popular fan theory surmises it is a reference to the song title "Zero G Love" as sung by Lynn Minmay (performed by Mari Ijima). In the fictional universe of Macross, the acronym may be the name of the spaceliner company or the name of the manufacturer.
