Since the discovery of OverTechnology advanced electronics and robots became commonplace to an extent that most people living in 2059 never knew a time when such technology wasn't ubiquitous. Robots continue to function pervasively throughout society in 2059 and include such machines as the ever-present mobile vending machine. Despite being operationally useful the mobile vending machine robot still has a tendency to act as a nusiance as much as it provides refreshment for customers. Yet one such vending machine robot did implement it's programming exceptionally well when onboard video recording (combined with footage from mobile phones of the nearby crowd) captured one of the first signature public performances of then-unknown pop-music idol singer Ranka Lee.
