These white colored VF-5000B valkyries were part of the UN Forces testing squadron flown during the first mass production run of the new variable fighter. In 2020 the Dancing Skull special forces team was given the honor of escorting the new VF-5000 Star Mirage to the cruiser Algenicus for testing over the planet Neo York. The Free York Liberation League launched two attacks to capture the VF-5000, but the terrorist forces were engaged by the Dancing Skull team. With the help of Minmay plug-ins which transmitted culture shocking music unto the Zentradi, the two ace pilots Max Jenius and Milia Jenius used their incredible skills to thwart the attempted capture operations.
NOTE: The VF-5000's designation was inspired by the Dassault Mirage 2000. Studio HalfEye has called its model the "Star Mirage," although Shoji Kawamori has indicated that such a designation is only a nickname. The name "Star Mirage" has since been published in the book Shoji Kawamori's Macross Design Works (2001) and the Macross Chronicle (2009).
