As children growing up on the planet Eden in the 2020s, Isamu Alva Dyson and Guld Goa Bowman were close friends who shared a mutual love for flying. The two boys, with their friend Myung Fang Lone, would often work together building simple flying machines. One such flying machine they built was Isamu's ultralight. Outfitted with a simple but effective engine, Isamu would use the contrails of his craft to skillfully create large gaseous shapes in the sky, providing a picture for others to view from the ground and to showcase his growing piloting skills. This is the ultralight Isamu flew during a festival on Eden in his teens. Isamu and Guld also built a pedal plane together in their youth that was similar in design, using a bicycle to launch the vehicle from the ground. Ultimately the exhiliration and strong competitiveness they experienced flying their simple aircraft would persist in each of them as they grew into adulthood.
