Description and History

The Military Jeep is a common six-wheel light utility vehicle (LUV), a term used for the lightest weight class of military vehicle. Like all such LUVs, the Jeep is a light and compact vehicle typically with light or no armour and short body overhangs to ensure nimble all-terrain mobility. Light utility vehicles are usually multi-purpose to perform a diverse number of roles, such as carrying troops, staff, (mounted) weapons, supplies or evacuating wounded. During the United Nations Wars, Roy Focker met Claudia La Salle for the first time, beginning the most serious relationship of their lives. Yet before that relationship began Roy had to curb his wayward ways. Claudia reluctantly agreed to see Roy and the next day he arrived in a military jeep filled with numerous female officers. Expecting a date, Claudia refused to be just another of Roy's women, leaving him to drive off with his girlfriends. Eventually Roy realized Claudia meant more than just a casual encounter and confided in her. From then on, the two fell in love, forming a lasting partnership.

NOTE: Official art designates this vehicle as "Military Jeep" (軍用ジープ).
