Variant VF-1A GBP-1S Armored Valkyrie (Green) Notes Debut: never animated, appears only as colored line art illustrated by Shoji Kawamori (publish date unknown, most likely 1982) Description: A variant of the VF-1A Valkyrie equipped with the GBP-1S Armor system illustrated by Shoji Kawamori. This variant appears only in this illustration without any official trivia and thus fans can only speculate about the technical details. The green color is reminiscent of real world heavy military vehicles like tanks or APCs (armored personnel carriers). Typically the GBP-1S Armored system is depicted with a numeral "1" emblazoned upon the front torso but this VF-1A type variant features the numeral "8". Other than a few minor color changes there appear to be no other notable mecahnical details any different than the standard GBP-1S system.
