Variant VF-1A Valkyrie "Max" Notes Debut: Super Dimension Fortress Macross, Episode 8 Description: Instantly noticeable in a unique color scheme, this blue hull paint belongs to the personal fighter of the ace Valkyrie pilot Maximilian Jenius. Like his comrade Kakizaki, Max was also a recurring character throughout the series and his incredible skills required that his Valkyrie be very recognizable to the audience. Later in the series, Max was promoted and was given a new fighter, but his token blue colors were not left behind and became even more pronounced on his VF-1J.
